Ozark Regional Transit Authority

Ozark Regional Transit Authority (ORT) is the regional mass transit system in Northwest Arkansas, with 16 total Fixed or On-Demand (ODT) Transit bus routes serving the larger cities of Benton and Washington counties. ODT has a fare associated with it of $1.25 per person, per trip. ORT also has a smaller fleet of vans, of mid-sized and minivan-sized which are maintained specifically for transporting individuals with an ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) – Qualifying disability. All vehicles are wheelchair-accessible and most have bicycle racks mounted on the front or rear. Trips are available to the public and are meant for all types of needs including, but not limited to shopping, entertainment and/or medical appointments. Van transportation can be scheduled primarily Monday – Friday but Saturday service exists, to varying degrees respective of the city, as well, subject to seat availability. We recommend that van transportation be scheduled for a maximum of one week in advance and a minimum of 24 hours. All models are zero fare apart from the ODT model previously explained. ORT works with local hospitals, clinics and other medical care facilities to arrange for patient transportation and we can address your specific needs too.
